Joining a Garden Club

Joining a local garden club has a huge on the environment and the people, not too mention your community. You don't even need a yard to be a gardener or join your local garden club..

You don't have to own a yard to be a gardener. Planting up a pot, even if it is not your own; is Gardening. If you love planting up containers, or digging in the soil with friends then joining a garden club is the best way to do it.

If you have a green thumb and want to share what you've learned over the years, or even if you have a black thumb and want to learn how to grow beautiful flowers or trees. Joining a garden club is the best way to find encouragement, support and learn from fellow gardeners.

If you have a desire to garden but no place to do it, then joining a garden club is perfect for you! The Crown Point Garden Club has garden beds throughout our Community that we take care of, as well as floral projects to take care of that urge to create a beautiful floral displays on Mothers Day.

If you love planting gorgeous shrubs or flowers, or spending time outdoors with friends digging in the dirt, then you should join a garden club. It's always more enjoyable with friends!

Community Work

Garden Clubs do a lot of gardening within their community. Senior centers, their local Courthouse, Park or Fairgrounds. (pictured below)

Youth Activities

Getting today's children involved in the environment is crucial to preserving and protecting it. There are always big and small jobs with doing garden chores that a youth group can become involved in. Garden clubs nationwide are also creating Scholarships, contests, raised garden beds or outdoor activities to get kids excited about gardening and showing them first hand just how positive gardening and fellow gardeners can be. If you're looking to get your kids or grand kids outside more, this would be a perfect opportunity as well.

Garden clubs don't necessarily stop during Winter time either. In December we make wreaths for our local courthouse Christmas Projects and we are busy adding holiday touches to whatever we can or whomever will let us!

So join your local garden club and become a green beret for the environment!
